Skip the long lines and crowded aisles of the grocery store and purchase your fruits and veggies at the Keller Farmers Market instead.

Saturday, May 5 is opening day for the market, which is located at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway in Keller. Shoppers will find plenty of local produce, meat, wine, tamales, chips, salsa, honey and much more.

There will also be a seed and plant exchange. Gardeners are invited to trade seeds and discuss their gardening issues with other attendees. Plus, families will enjoy a seed planting activity.

The market runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
