A Keller ISD employee who is accused of having a relationship with a Keller Central High School student has turned himself in to authorities, according to the Dallas Morning News.

A 17-year-old student told her parents that she had a sexual relationship with 37-year-old Chad Eric Bearden, according to a Haltom City Police Department press release. She told her parents that she had two encounters with Bearden in his apartment in Haltom City.

Bearden, who turned himself in to North Richland Hills Jail last week, resigned from his position as a drama teacher at Hillwood Middle School. Police had issued a warrant for his arrest for Improper Relationship Between Educator/Student. His bail is set at $10,000.
