"Okay, kids. Put away those books and take out those cell phones."

Probably not a phrase you'd expect from teachers these days, many of whom see cell phones as a nuisance in a learning environment.

But, one KISD teacher seems to disagree. Matt Cook, a math and science teacher at Trinity Meadows Intermediate School, thinks teachers need to embrace the new technology and show students how to "use it productively." Cook was recently quoted in an article by 360 Education Solutions on how many schools are turning to smartphones to help educate students.
