A construction project that will replace the existing sewer lines at seven locations in Keller will begin Thursday, July 19.

Crews will start working on the pipes beneath Jesse Street before moving on to Austin Street.  A small portion of piping on College Street will also be replaced.

The new pipes will be installed using a method called “pipe bursting”.  It involves the use of an underground pulley to pull the new pipe through the existing one, which causes the older pipe to burst.

The project is scheduled to last five months.  None of the repairs are expected to prompt road closures, but motorists are asked to drive with caution around the construction areas.
