Right now it's nestled in your living room, trimmed with shiny ornaments and bright lights and surrounded by beautiful-wrapped gifts, but pretty soon the holidays will end and that Christmas tree will begin to droop.

You know you don't want those brown pine needles littering your floor, so clear off the decorations, load up the tree and dispose of it at Keller's annual Christmas tree recycling event. From 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 22nd through Sunday, January 8th, drop off your tree at the north end of the Multi-Use Arena parking lot at the Keller Sports Park, 112 Sports Parkway.

There are some restrictions: no flocked trees, and all decorations, bags, tinsel, ornaments, lights, plastic, nails, and stand musts be removed.

The trees will be turned into mulch, which will be made available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis at a later date.
