Skipper and Juanita Brown, owners of Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center on Alta Vista Road in Keller, joined more than 90 franchisees and business partners at the 2016 Children’s Lighthouse National Franchise Convention hosted in Cancun, Mexico.

During the four day event held from Thursday, February 4 through Sunday, February 7, franchisees participated in training seminars, breakout sessions and business enhancement programs.

A high point of the meeting was the award ceremony where the Browns were recognized for 10 years of continuous service to the community, a special honor signifying a franchisee’s commitment to providing progressive educational childcare programs to children and families for more than a decade.

“Our franchisees inspire each and every one of us to aim high, think big and rise to the occasion day-in and day-out,” said Pat Brown, CEO of Children’s Lighthouse Franchise Company. “The Browns are no exception. The couple have demonstrated a remarkable ongoing commitment to their communities, and we are proud to have them as part of our Children’s Lighthouse family.”

The Browns opened their Children’s Lighthouse in 2005 in the hopes of having a positive impact on local families. Since opening the center, the couple has given hundreds of local children a head start in life through early education.

“There is nothing more important to us than the children who attend our center,” said Juanita. “We want to provide the best care possible to each and every student who walks through our doors.”

“We are honored to be recognized for our continuous commitment to providing a safe, loving, and educational place for children. This is a recognition that we will treasure for months and years to come,” Skipper added.

Children’s Lighthouse Learning Centers’ mission is to promote positive development of young children in all areas of growth including social, emotional, intellectual, physical and creative development. The centers use and follow an award winning and respected curriculum, which is built on a foundation of academic excellence and character values training.
