KYA Football's Spring Grass Drills Heels over Head Crazy Bag Hit

Last Saturday, February 6, on a cold and windy day KYA Football held its final grass drills of the 2016 Spring Tackle Season. About 200 youth football players sprinted a 40 yard dash, ran agility drills and tackled a dummy to impress the attentive coaches evaluating the young player's skills. Even though it was a little cooler than the previous Saturday's grass drills, KYA Football youth had a great day of football try outs.

Friday, February 12th will be the last day to register for KYA Football's 2016 Spring youth football season. Friday night is also the first of two draft sessions of the Spring season's draft. Close to 500 young football players will be picked by the KYA Football coaches and placed on teams over two days. Mite and Senior Division teams will be allocated Friday night. Saturday morning Bantam, Sophomore and Junior Divisions will be drafted and placed on teams. Parents will hear from their team's Head Coaches by Sunday night.

KYA Football's 2016 Spring season officially starts Monday, February 15th. Monday is the first day teams may start to practice. Games will start Saturday March 26th. The KYA Football Super Bowl weekend is May 21st.
