The City of Grapevine today observed the 11th anniversary of the tragic events that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.
Members of the 9/11 Memorial Foundation of Texas, the Grapevine Police Department, American Airlines and the Grapevine Fire Department gathered to commemorate the anniversary at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial, located at 1000 Texan Trail.
At 7:46 a.m., the exact time the first airplane hit the World Trade Center 11 years ago, a bell was tolled, and the flags were lowered soon after, where they will remain until 5 p.m. today. The members in attendance saluted in reverence and had a moment of silence.
