With all the excitement of summer ending, don’t forget that the first day of school is Monday, Aug. 27.  The Keller Independent School District is welcoming more than 33,000 students to the classroom this year.

Over the summer, KISD announced Dr. Randy Reid as its new superintendent, warned Trinity Meadows Intermediate and Trinity Springs Middle School students and drivers about construction at North Beach Street and Keller Hicks Road and revealed a slight increase in lunchroom meal prices as a result of the Healthy, Hunger Free Kid’s Act.

School speed zones will be in effect, so be sure to monitor your speed and refrain from using handheld cell phones when driving near KISD schools.
