Fossil Ridge High School Leaders Create Homecoming Mums for Life Skills Students

Fossil Ridge High School celebrated homecoming Thursday, Sept. 26, and a group of students decided to make the occasion extra special for a few of the campus's Life Skills students.

The group, led by Mikayla and Katrina Schmidt, made 15 homecoming mums and distributed them to the Life Skills class the morning prior to the Panthers' homecoming game against Richland. Mikayla is a senior class officer and President of AVID at Fossil Ridge.

With a focus on helping Life Skills students feel that they are a part of the FRHS family, students also started a grassroots movement to nominate Life Skills student Lindsey Miller for Homecoming Queen. Lindsey made it onto Homecoming Court and, throughout Homecoming Week, students could be seen around campus donning pink "Team Lindsey" shirts.

Fossil Ridge’s varsity football team will take on Richland High School at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 26, at Keller ISD Athletics Complex.
