Medical City Alliance recently partnered with the Keller Independent School District (ISD) to provide school physicals free of charge at its Back to School Bash.

The first event of its kind in Keller ISD, the Back to School Bash provides students in need with school supplies and services important for a successful start to the new school year. School physicals, required by the UIL for all students participating in school athletics, must be administered by a registered nurse and signed by a physician or other provider. Medical City Alliance provided more than 20 clinical personnel to support 350 physicals during the four-hour event. All student-athletes had an opportunity to sign up for the free physical, which can otherwise cost between $20-100 based on insurance reimbursement rates and other factors.

“From the day we first opened, Medical City Alliance has partnered with Keller ISD to provide support to students and families that live in Keller and the Alliance Corridor,” says Medical City Alliance Director of Community and Public Relations Matt Eiserloh. “We are proud to take part in this event and help create healthier tomorrows for these youth athletes.”

In addition to providing physicals at the Back to School Bash, Medical City Alliance is proud to support Keller ISD through numerous other programs including scholarships, athletics, and shadowing opportunities for Keller ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) students interested in healthcare careers. Additionally, Keller ISD has been a longtime participant in Medical City Healthcare’s kids teaching kids® Healthy Lifestyles program that teaches high school culinary students and elementary school students healthy snacking habits through nutrition education. Medical City Alliance also offers Keller ISD teachers free access to EVERFI Understanding Mental Wellness curriculum for teenage students.

Medical City Alliance is also proud to support Keller ISD through other organizations supporting the school district such as the Keller Education Foundation and the Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce.
