I’m here to announce our 2021 Greater Keller Women’s Club Shining Star.  Shining Star is an award given by the Arts Council Northeast to recognize outstanding volunteers in the community.  GKWC has had a yearly Shining Star beginning in 2002 with Linda Bowden being our first Shining Star.

 It is with great pleasure that I announce this wonderful lady today.  She exemplifies the mission of the GKWC. As a leader and advocate of women, she goes above and beyond with her time, many talents and enthusiasm for helping our community.

 She joined GKWC in 2014 and immediately jumped into volunteering and joining the Board. She has held a variety of roles within our club to include; Publicity, 1st VP of Membership,  club President and now as 3rd VP Community Service. She was our guiding force through the beginning of COVID, an extremely challenging time. Her commitment to our club’s success can be seen with the extension of her role as president. She was co-chair of the Garden of Roses the year after she joined and again this year (last year…..whatever year we are calling this). Please join with me as we congratulate Kimberly Vines.
