Santa Claus visited Medical City Alliance to spread holiday cheer with patients, colleagues and visitors.

Santa visited with NICU families, stopping to pose for keepsake photos with the babies and their families. This marks the seventh time Santa has visited the NICU, maintaining an annual tradition started when the hospital first opened in 2015. Medical City Alliance is the first and only state-designated Level III NICU in north Fort Worth.

“Families dealing with the stress of a baby in the NICU is always difficult, but this is particularly true during the holidays,” says Kelly Shields, director of women’s services at Medical City Alliance. “Sharing smiles during a visit from Santa is one of many ways our highly skilled colleagues provide compassionate care for our patients and their families.”

In addition to the NICU, Santa visited both day and night shift colleagues, thanking these healthcare heroes for their commitment and dedication to the patients of Medical City Alliance. The visit provided a short respite from challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that hospital staff continue to face on a daily basis.
