As of Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 8:01 a.m., Keller ISD campuses are experiencing a “soft lockdown” as a result of a prisoner escape in Grapevine. Here is the story from Keller ISD:

Keller ISD campuses will open in a "soft lockdown" on Wednesday, Feb. 13, until further notice.

A "soft lockdown" prevents any non-essential visitors from visiting the campus. This includes those individuals who do not have students on a campus or do not have an appointment to meet with campus personnel.

This lockdown is a precaution as a result of a prisoner who escaped from police custody in Grapevine on Monday evening. There is no known imminent threat to KISD campuses at this time.
