Dog of the Week: Falen, Lab Mix

Falen is one of the most handsome dogs the shelter has ever seen. A young Lab mix, he is affectionate, energetic and just wants to play and have fun. The shelter estimates that he is between one and two years old. Falen is heartworm negative and is current on his vaccinations. He will make a great addition to any family.

Cat of the Week: Flopsy, Tabby

Flopsy is a petite young tabby, who was caught in a trap left out by a citizen intending to catch wildlife. She huddled in the back of her cage for the first few days, trying to make herself as small as possible. Finally, a volunteer coaxed her to come out, and the shelter discovered what a sweet little cat she is.

Although she is overwhelmed and stressed at the shelter, she enjoys being held and is warming up to staff and volunteers. She will most likely take some time to come out of her shell, but when she does, she will be a wonderful companion and friend for the right person.

For more details on Falen or Flopsy, please contact the Keller shelter at 817-743-4516 or at animalservices@cityofkeller.com.

The shelter is looking to expand its volunteer base. If you are interested in helping the animals in the shelter, contact animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com
