Grandpa

When Grandpa arrived at a local shelter, he was in bad shape. He had fleas, tapeworms and tested positive for heartworms. He also had some kind of growth on his foot. Unsure of his surroundings, he barked himself hoarse.

There was something about his sad soulful eyes that compelled volunteers to save him. They took him for an evaluation, purchased the necessary medicine for him and found him a wonderful foster home.

Grandpa now has a skip in his step, and he holds his tail high when he goes for his daily walk. It is almost as if he is finally realizing what love is, and he couldn't be happier. He is now in a home with two other dogs and has never met a dog he didn't like.

He is being treated for his heartworms and is on the road to recovery. All he needs now is a loving forever home. Can you make his dreams come true?

Izzie

Izzie is an extremely affectionate cat who was recently taken into a foster home because she was a little timid and unsure of her surroundings at the shelter. She is sweet and loving and loves to run against you to show she's your friend.

How she ended up in the shelter is a mystery to volunteers but they are hoping that she will soon be given a second chance in life with her new best friend. For more information, contact the Keller shelter at 817-743-4516 or at animalservices@cityofkeller.com.
