Join Keller ISD for a day of awareness of Asthma on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Timber Creek High School and register for the Breath of Life 5K Fun Run/Walk for Asthma.
KISD Health Services, in association with the Texas Chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, is bringing this event to Keller ISD for the first time.
The free event will be held from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TCHS (12350 Timberland Blvd., Fort Worth). There will be educatinal booths to raise awareness about asthma and its triggers. Vendors will also offer massages, games for kids, and nurses from Cooks and Children's hospitals will be on hand to answer questions about asthma.
The 5K Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8 a.m. Early registration (before Sept. 15) will be $20 per person, while late registration will be $25. Proceeds benefit the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of North Texas. Awards along with snacks and drinks will be available for participating runners.
