Dixie and Dapple - A Special Couple

Dixie, a Lab, and Dapple, a mixed breed, spent several months at a local shelter after being found roaming together in a park. They quickly won over shelter staff and volunteers with their sweet personalities and the close bond they shared.

They were fortunate to find a foster family willing to take both dogs into their home. They proved to be excellent houseguests and integrated well with the resident cats and dogs.

Dixie recently underwent ACL surgery and is now recovering nicely. The shelter would love to find these girls a loving home where they can continue to enjoy life to the fullest. While the shelter would love them to find them a home together, they know this may not be possible, but like Dixie and Dapple, they are hoping for a miracle.

Brian and Diesel - Bonded Survivors

Brian, a small orange and white kitten, showed up at a local shelter with a gaping hole in his forehead, most likely the result of a dog attack. He was taken into a foster home for his wound to heal.

He was soon joined by Diesel, a young female tuxedo kitten who had traveled from Keller to Denton in a car engine. She had suffered burns to her ears and tail but was otherwise in good shape.

The two survivors formed a tight bond and at 5 months old, are now almost inseparable. They play and sleep together and will often curl up on the couch together or on a warm lap where they will gently purr in unison.

These two would love to find a home together. Although initially a little shy around strangers, they are loving and playful and enjoy the company of other cats, young and old alike. They will make a great addition to some lucky family.
