An 18-wheeler fire in the 1200 block of SH 114 at William D. Tate Avenue has temporarily closed all eastbound traffic lanes on the highway, according to the DFW Scanner.
The DFW scanner says the fire has been reported under control, but fire departments will have to remove the freight to extinguish the hot spots.

(2:43 p.m.) The DFW Connector says to avoid the area if possible, as backups are severe.
(4:10 p.m.) Lanes are now open.
