Keller Library Joins The Geocache Game

The Keller Public Library is now participating in a worldwide scavenger hunt known as geocaching.

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

Library staff will periodically restock their geocache with small treasures for trade for people who take the time to find it. Geocaching is a great way to encourage exercise and adventure, and the library hopes to see lots of geocachers traversing the property.

If you are interested in playing, visit www.geocaching.com and search for "Keller." The cache is called "Chamber of Secrets" and can be found on the map or on the list of geocaches. To read more about geocaching, visit the Geocaching 101 page. Free registration is required to get the exact GPS coordinates.
