Dog of the Week: Benny

Benny, a Min Pin / Chihuahua mix, was brought to the Keller shelter last Monday by a kind lady who found him wandering near a busy intersection.

Volunteers were excited to discover he had a microchip, but this feeling changed to disappointment when they found out that the phone number was no longer valid. Through detective work, volunteers reached the owner, only to discover that she had given the dog away three years ago and did not know the name of his new owner.

So far, nobody has come looking for him and he is waiting patiently for someone to meet him and fall in love. He is a very sweet dog who loves people and behaves well. He will make a great pet for the right family.

Cat of the Week: Herman

Everybody loves Herman. He is soft, very cuddly and playful.

Volunteers hope that he finds a loving forever home soon, as living in a cage is not too exciting for a young cat. He can't wait to play, run, stretch his legs and hang out with his new best friend.
