The Tarrant County Commissioner’s Court lifted the outdoor burning ban for Tarrant County Tuesday, Jan. 15.
The burn ban was approved on Tuesday, Dec. 4 due to dry grass conditions and wind gusts that occur during the winter season.
The Tarrant County Fire Marshal’s Office reminds residents that if they must conduct an outside burn, they should:
- Stay with the fire at all times while it is burning.
- No burning at night. Only burn from sun up to sun down.
- Have water available.
- Consider your neighbors when burning.
- Be extremely careful.
- Only burn brush, tree limbs, grass clippings and leaves.
- No trash or building materials.
