Fans of college football will flock to Scout, the acclaimed sports bar located inside The Statler in downtown Dallas, donning their favorite college game-day garb as bowl season approaches. North Texas favorite game-day outpost has installed additional TV screens and is ready to host guests throughout the busy college bowl game season beginning on Dec. 16.

 

While there are dozens, and maybe hundreds of bowl games this season, there are several that will be featured at Scout and celebrated by many in the region, including:

  • Independence BowlTexas Tech v. Cal – 12/16
  • Frisco Bowl – UTSA vs. Marshall – 12/19
  • First Responder Bowl – Texas State v. Rice 12/26
  • Texas Bowl – Texas A&M vs. OSU – 12/27
  • Fenway Bowl – SMU vs. Boston College – 12/28
  • Alamo Bowl – OU vs. Arizona – 12/28
  • Cotton Bowl – Ohio State vs. Mizzou – 12/29
  • Sugar Bowl – Texas vs. Washington – 1/1
  • CFS Championship – 1/8

 

Throughout the bowl game season, Scout will offer specials on game days for football fanatics to enjoy. Deals include:

  • Pitchers of beer, $15
  • Draft pints, $6
  • Touchdown Shot: available every time the home team scores a touchdown, $2 (Note: Home teams are designated above in bold and italics.)
  • Bowl Burger, a seven-ounce burger topped with blue cheese, applewood smoked bacon and Texas Pete’s Buffalo Sauce served on a brioche bun with crispy fries, $13
  • Scout Party Platter, one pound of wings, seasoned fries, onion rings and Mac and Cheese Bites served with Ranch and Scout Sauce, $24
  • Brisket Sliders, which feature smoked brisket with house barbecue sauce and creamy slaw on a pretzel bun, served with crispy fries, $9
  • Scout Nachos, crispy tortilla chips topped with pico de gallo, jalapeños, seasoned ground beef and queso blanco, with sour cream and salsa rojas, $16.
