Jazz in June

Keller’s fourth annual Jazz in June Concert Series concluded last night with the swingin’ sounds of Latin Express.  The final concert took place at 7:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Keller Town Hall.

The Fort Worth band played a fusion of jazz, Latin and Tejano music the whole crowd could dance to.  They performed several original compositions as well as jazz and swing classics, including some of Al Green’s work.

During the concert, Latin Express invited New Orleans jazz musician Adonis Rose of the Fort Worth Jazz Orchestra on stage to guest on a song.

“It’s always great playing in Keller,” said Rose.  “The series has been great for the past four years, and we look forward to playing it every year.”

The set ended at 9:30 p.m., and Latin Express thanked the residents of Keller for coming out and getting down to the sweet sounds of jazz.
