The Gaylord Texan’s ICE! exhibit is a pretty cool way to spend the afternoon! This year’s frozen attraction features the cast of the animated holiday TV special, Merry Madagascar.

Forty artisans from Harbin, China spent nearly a month of 12-hour shifts transforming 2 million pounds of ice into an elaborate winter wonderland.

Guests will be provided with hooded winter coats to stay warm, as the exhibit is kept at a chilly 9 degrees. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required, and ICE! is wheelchair accessible.

ICE! will be open through Tuesday, Jan. 1, including holidays. The exhibit’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
